| Bio: | Sclerotic ring: a ring of bone or small bones inside the sclera (the interior of the eye), presumably acting to support the eye.
Sclerotic rings: The name of a blessedly long-defunct palaeontology column in the long-defunct commentary magazine Science Fiction Eye (1986-1997). As with other contributions to other magazines by its author, nobody knows for sure if the column killed the magazine, but the evidence is definitely suspicious.
Rocketed from the dying planet Skaro as an infant, the entity known as "Paul T. Riddell" lived a short but overly dramatic life before his demise in 2002 from an overdose of prescription stool softeners. His successors started up the Esoteric Science Resource Center as a constant reminder that without eternal vigilance, it could happen again. As for perennial hanger-on Edgar Harris, best known for his position as the former Sports Editor for Science Fiction Age, he's welcome to stay for as long as he wants. Just don't start nagging about Riddell returning to writing, particularly for science fiction periodicals, because we're more likely to see the Dallas Cowboys winning the World Series before that happens.
